This Cookie Policy explains how Novaskin uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and related online services. It is provided for transparency under applicable data protection laws, including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (“KVKK”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), where relevant.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device by the website you visit. Similar technologies may include pixels, local storage, and session storage.
2. Which cookies do we use?
We group cookies into three main categories:
Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the website to operate securely and to provide core features such as session management, language preference, cart and checkout, security, and fraud prevention. These may rely on legitimate interests or performance of a contract.
Analytics / statistics cookies (optional): Activated only if you accept “Analytics” in the cookie banner. In this category we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 processes aggregated statistics such as page views, session duration, traffic sources, and device or browser type. IP addresses may be truncated or anonymised by Google; details are governed by Google’s documentation.
Marketing cookies (optional): Activated only if you accept “Marketing” in the cookie banner. In this category we may use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel). The Meta Pixel helps measure conversions, assess advertising effectiveness, and (subject to Meta’s policies) support interest-based advertising signals.
Analytics and marketing cookies do not have to be enabled together; you can manage each category separately.
3. Third-party cookies
GA4 and the Meta Pixel may set cookies or similar identifiers via the relevant providers’ domains. Those providers may act as processors or, depending on the circumstances, as independent controllers. Google’s and Meta’s privacy notices apply to their processing.
4. How to manage your preferences
Through the cookie notice shown on your first visit (or when you change your mind), you can accept or reject non-essential categories. Your choices are stored in your browser (for example under a local storage key such as novaskin_consent_v2) and applied on subsequent visits. Clearing browser storage may reset your preferences.
You may also block third-party cookies in your browser settings or use browser signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where supported; technical behaviour varies by browser.
5. Retention
Strictly necessary session cookies typically expire at the end of a session; preference storage is kept for a reasonable period. Analytics and marketing cookie lifetimes depend on provider defaults and configuration (for example GA4 cookies, Meta _fbp / _fbc, etc.).
6. Your rights
You may exercise rights available under KVKK and the GDPR (such as access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and data portability) using the channels described in our Privacy Policy and KVKK notice. Rejecting optional cookies prevents further optional tracking on our site; previously transmitted data may be subject to the providers’ own deletion or opt-out tools.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when technologies, regulations, or our services change. Material updates may be announced on the website or the cookie notice may be shown again.
